Welcome to the Foxboro Soccer Association’s town program webpage. For questions regarding the town boys program, contact Dale Anderson, town girls Laurie Bubencik.
The goal of our town program is to provide a non-competitive, learning and fun soccer program to children in grades K-5. Once registered for the town soccer program, each team will have one practice a week and one game played on Saturdays. The practice days change from season to season but all games are played on Saturdays. Practice times are usually 5:15 and 6:00 on the weekdays. During the Fall season, games for boys in grades K-2 are played in the mornings and games for girls in grades K-2 are played in the afternoons. During the Spring season, this changes to girls in the morning and boys in the afternoon. The Junior/Senior league (grades 3-5) plays at different times on Saturdays, depending on the field availability.
AGE GROUPS:
Children need to be five years old as of August 1st OR in Kindergarten to start playing soccer. Players in grades K-2 play on teams of the same grade and gender. The Junior/Senior League is divided up by gender and each team consists of players from grades 3-5.
BORDER LEAGUE:
The Border League is another soccer program the Town offers. The Border League is for 6th, 7th & 8th grade players. This is a coed league of mixed grades, practicing once a week with games played on Saturdays against coed teams from Mansfield.
REGISTRATION:
There are two registration periods. To play in the Fall, registration begins in May. To play in the Spring, registration begins in November. You can register on-line.
FIELDS:
In the Fall season, grades K-2 practice and play at the Army fields behind the Booth playground. In the Spring season, grades K-2 play at the Stather fields behind the Ahern Middle School. For both seasons, the Junior/Senior league plays at the Stather fields.
EQUIPMENT:
It is MANDATORY that all players wear shin pads for games and practices. It is recommended that all players wear cleats for practice and games. No jewelry can be worn for practice or games. The players will be asked to remove all jewelry before a game will begin.
TEAMS:
Teams are divided up by skill level and by school. Specific requests may be made at the time of registration, but there is no guarantee that those requests can be met. Foxboro Soccer Association limits the roster size to give each player who has registered on time, the maximum playing time.
ZERO TOLERANCE:
Foxboro Soccer has a policy of Zero Tolerance with respect to referees.
